Tip of the Week: What Is That Leadership Manual???

You know that Leadership Manual you received with your Communications Manual after you joined Electric Toaster (you received it for free if you joined in the last year)?  Have you looked through it lately?  Even if you don’t intend to work through the Leadership Track of Toastmasters, the Competent Leader Manual is a great way to sharpen your skills in listening, evaluation, and group leadership.  Please bring your CL Manual to every meeting and work in one of the projects – most of them are the daily roles that we fill, such as serving as Timer, Grammarian, or Toastmaster.  Give your manual to the person sitting next to you to evaluate your work that day – it only takes a couple of minutes!  And as an incentive, in an undisclosed a near-future meeting, I will give a special treat to everyone in attendance with a CL Manual!

ETs previous coach, Jeff Brooks, is also calling for support in judging and timing, so NO PITY IN ROSE CITY! Come join us as cheerleaders and/or referees.

Tip of the Week: Cheer ‘em on!

Please plan on cheering on Electric Toasters contest winners Myron Peto and Steve Wilcox at the the Area 71/74 Humorous Speech and Table Topics Contest on Monday, September 26, 6:30 PM at Terwilliger Plaza – 2545 SW Terwilliger Blvd.  Besides hearing great speeches and table topics, enjoying free food and drinks, and providing that friendly, smiling face for our Electric Toasters friends, you will also be supporting our fellow club member Jeff Brooks as he leads the contest as Area 71 Governor.  If you haven’t been to a contest yet – this is the one to go to!
