Did you know that Toastmasters has a Competent Leadership manual, and in every meeting, you could be meeting goals to receive your Competent Leader Award (CL)? The CL award is the first step to advanced leadership awards and the “grand prize” of Toastmasters awards, the DTM – Distinguished Toastmaster. Electric Toasters has a list of 10 goals we strive to meet every year; 2 of them are educational achievement awards in the leadership track. Several fellow Electric Toasters have received their CL award or are working toward it. Won’t you start working on your CL? Here is a link to a short description of the CL program on the Toastmasters International website. You can purchase the CL manual online. If you are a brand new member, Toastmasters International will send you a CL manual automatically.
